Toddlers have a knack for finding joy in things that aren’t meant to be toys — cardboard boxes, the house keys, anything messy, you name it.

Some toddlers, however, are into the more macabre, if you will. Kayla Randhawa’s toddler Leo found his joy in a zombie baby doll he saw at a store.

Kayla posted about the adorable yet unlikely pairing on social media: “Leo has had his eye on this zombie baby for a month now. We’ve visited it many times and finally decided to buy it for him. He takes him everywhere he goes, kisses him, feeds him, gives him his pacifier and puts him to bed,” the Facebook post reads.

The Phoenix, Arizona, mom says her little one fell completely in love with the zombie doll when he saw it at a store. He spent a month begging for the doll every time they went into the store, and his parents finally gave in and bought him the creepy toy. Now Leo ever so sweetly cares for his doll, feeding it, sharing his pacifier with it, and giving its scary little face lots and lots of kisses.

The beginning of a really good scary movie, or proof that this tot loves his friends just the way they are? We’re going with the latter. Watch Leo give his fake undead friend all the hugs and kisses in the video.
