A young dad was brought to tears while singing to his son.
In the video below, 25-year-old Zach Oxendine was singing to his baby boy, Judah.
According to the Daily Mail, Judah is deaf. StoryTrender also reports that the 2-year-old was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. In the video below, Zach is singing “Boy” by Lee Brice, a song to do with the love between a dad and son.
While singing to Judah, Zach found himself understandably overcome with emotion. He tried to stop his mother from recording him before the tears flowed, but there wasn’t any stopping them!
Nonetheless, Zach continued singing, and before long Judah — despite his hearing impairment — looked up at him. Then, a huge smile burst onto his face. At that moment, Zach lost it — completely breaking down and covering his face with a pillow.
“It’s just a truly magical moment between me and my son — every time I watch the video back and see his smile, I tear up,” Zach told StoryTrender.
StoryTrender also reports that Judah was born at just 23 weeks and weighed 1 lb., 8 oz. He suffered from bleeding on both sides of his brain. He went through several operations but stayed strong and able to smile through it all.
“I can remember even when Judah was in the NICU, he was smiling,” Zach said. “Since he was born and aware he was in the world, he’s never stopped smiling.”
