Football Fans Try To Buy Super Bowl Tickets But Keep Calling 8-Year-Old With Similar Number

This year, 8-year-old Sienna Sansevere got her very first cell phone for Christmas.

I remember how excited I was to get my first phone when I was younger. When they’re that young, kids usually just use their phones for games and the camera, which is basically what Sienna planned to use hers for. She plans to use it to help her with homework, since it has both a calculator and internet access.

But Sienna’s phone has been ringing off the hook since she got it — and the calls aren’t from her friends or family.

Instead, Sienna is getting dozens of calls from total strangers. And they’re all asking her about tickets to the Super Bowl.

As it turns out, Sienna’s new phone number is just a single digit away from the phone number for the Minnesota Vikings ticket office. And this year, the Super Bowl is set to take place at the Vikings’ home stadium in Minneapolis. The Vikings even have a shot of making it into the championship game this year, to boot!

This all means that Vikings fans are getting pretty fired up about the big game in advance — and lots of them really want tickets.

In their haste, however, many are accidentally dialing Sienna’s number, instead of the ticket office! Sienna got 15 calls on the day after Christmas alone.

Although Sienna can’t help anyone with their ticket requests, she does sympathize with the callers. Her mom was once a Vikings cheerleader, and her dad is a sports writer. They even met thanks to a Vikings game!

For now, Sienna’s parents have changed her voicemail message so it directs callers to the correct number for the Vikings ticket office.
