Blockbuster video stores exploded in popularity in the late ’90s and early ’00s. At the height of its success, the company employed 84,300 people across the world and had more than 9,000 stores across the country.

These days, Netflix, Redbox, and video on-demand services reign supreme. We can now rent movies with the touch of a button.

Every Blockbuster location has closed its doors.

That is, except for one single Blockbuster that remains in business to this very day.

It’s located in Bend, Oregon, and is known as “the Last Blockbuster.”

In the midst of the current pandemic, Inside Edition spoke with the store’s general manager about the lone relic of home entertainment.

“We’ve faced many challenges over the years, and we’ve managed to muddle through, and we will this one too,” Sandi Harding said.
