On any given night, between 600,000 and 700,000 Americans experience homelessness. Aiding homeless people doesn’t always mean giving money. Sometimes, all we need to offer is our time and insight.
In this powerful short film, we meet a blind homeless man sitting in a busy public square. At his feet he has placed a cardboard sign that reads, “I’m blind, please help.”
However, no one is stopping to pay him any attention. Instead, he is ignored by the passers-by.
That is until one woman stops at his feet, picks up his sign and begins to write on it. As soon as she walks away, the man begins receiving many more contributions. When he notices she comes back to him, he asks her, “What did you do to my sign?”
She answers, “I wrote the same, with different words!”
