Eagle Decides To Take A Swim In Bay, Then Woman Captures Him Flapping Through Water On Camera

Well that is definitely a sight you don’t see every day!

An eagle was spotted swimming in the Belcarra Bay in British Columbia, Canada.

You read that right – an eagle was swimming in the bay, and one lucky onlooker got all the action on video.

I’m sorry, but have we entered the twilight zone?

In the footage, the eagle seems to be using his wings to swim to shore, and from the looks of it, there doesn’t seem to be much of a struggle.

I mean can we take a moment to acknowledge his form? I think he may be taking some notes from Michael Phelps here.

Perhaps this isn’t the only time this eagle has gone out for a swim? I mean I gotta say, he does look like he knows what he’s doing.

A woman by the name of Cheryl kept watch on the bird to make sure he got back to the shore safely.  This will be a hard story to tell people convincingly, considering Cheryl is probably in as much shock and confusion as the rest of us!
