A typical morning commute took a horrifying turn on January 11, 2018, when a woman found herself stuck underneath a subway train.
The 22-year-old woman was standing on the platform as she waited for the L train to arrive at her Bedford Avenue stop in Brooklyn, New York. Then, her whole world turned upside down.
Out of nowhere, the woman fainted and fell right onto the tracks below. To make matters worse, a subway train was about to pull in while she lay on the tracks. It was a heart-stopping moment for her and a terrifying sight for the people around her.
As the train rolled in, part its front car ran over her. She was below the subway train, but somehow not crushed — and survived. It was a miracle!
In the video below, we see firefighters rushing to the scene to help pull the woman out of a very tight space.
Witnesses explain how important it is to keep your distance from the edge of the platform, just in case anything happens while a subway train is pulling in or leaving.
The woman is expected to make a full recovery — with only a few minor injuries — after making it out of this frightening situation alive.
