It was a typical sunny Saturday afternoon at the Bronx Zoo in New York City — until a female guest voluntarily climbed over the safety barrier and found herself standing just feet away from an African male lion.

The zoo obviously has a “zero tolerance policy on trespass and violation of barriers,” but that did not seem to stop her one bit.

In a video that seems to have been posted on the woman’s Instagram, she is seen jumping into the exhibit, then stopping at the moat that separates her from the male lion standing nearby and waving at him. At first, confused zoo-goers seem to think she must be part of the exhibit. When they realize she isn’t, they call for her to come back, but she refuses.

Other footage shows the same woman at the zoo on the same day. In one clip, she manages to break into the giraffe exhibit in a similar way. Another clip shows her dancing and wiggling just feet away from the wild animals, as if to tease and taunt them.

Thankfully, there were no reports of any injuries to the woman or the animals. Now police are reportedly looking for her.
