Ja’Naea Modest, 33, lives in Champaign, Illinois. She already has a job, but she wanted to explore other options (on the down-low, of course).

Ja’Naea didn’t want management to know she was looking for other opportunities, but little did she know her plan to stay discreet was about to be completely ruined.

On a quiet Friday afternoon, Ja’Naea took her lunch break and left the office. But instead of grabbing a bite to eat, she headed off to a local job fair. Her boss, meanwhile, was on vacation.

Ja’Naea arrived at the fair, situated herself in front of her laptop, and began filling out applications and resumes.

Afterward, Ja’Naea returned to work and continued on with her day.

That evening, she visited her best friend’s house. Her friend’s father walked into the room and casually told Ja’Naea he’d just seen a “nice picture of her on TV.”

Say what?! A picture from when? Ja’Naea was totally confused and rushed to turn on her local news channel.

There she was, right there on the TV screen — three seconds of Ja’Naea filling out resumes at a job fair during her lunch break.

You see, Ja’Naea was so focused on her applications earlier that day that had no clue a local news crew was wandering around the fair, filming the attendees in their job searches.

Ja’Naea’s following actions went viral… oops!
