The San Jose Police Department is asking for the public’s help. A woman was caught on security camera coughing on a one-year-old boy at a Yogurtland frozen yogurt shop, but authorities have yet to identify her.

In the footage, an older woman is seen walking over to a baby’s stroller and coughing multiple times while standing right over the little boy.

Mireya Mora, the boy’s mother, says the woman standing in front of her in line was angry for getting too close to her.

Within seconds and without letting Mireya so much as react, she says the woman removed her mask and “coughed three times super hard on my son’s face,” she told ABC7.

The horrified mom also believes this was an incident rooted in racism.

“I believe this woman may be racist because the family in front of her is white,” she says. “Me and my grandma are Hispanic and she started telling me about my distance and harassing me and my son once I started speaking Spanish to my grandma.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Dan Bowman of the San Jose Police Department’s Assaults Unit at 408-277-4161.
