If you’re a fan of The View but have noticed one of the show’s stars missing in action for the past month, you’ve probably been wondering, “Hey, where the heck is Whoopi at?” Well, after a monthlong hiatus from the morning talk show, Whoopi is finally giving the world a glimpse at what’s been going on with her, and to say it was completely unexpected is probably the understatement of the year!

In a video segment that aired on the show, Whoopi addresses her absence to fans, starting off by telling the camera, “Hey! Yes, it’s me! I am here. I am up and moving around.”

Whoa, whoa, whoa — hold the door here! That sounds pretty darn serious. “Up and moving around”? What happened?!

She continues by saying, “I’m not as fast as I’d like to be. But I am OK. I’m not dead.”

Umm, excuse me?

Whoopi then tells fans that “she was very, very close to leaving this earth,” and she finishes the video by addressing her cohosts, telling them, “This has been interesting, and I’ll tell you all about it when we’re at the table.”
