After a friend’s wedding ceremony, Liz Krueger switched into a different dress for the reception. It was a short body-con dress that showed off her toned physique.
It was a scorching 90 degrees outside that day, and while some of the other guests switched into jeans and baseball caps, Liz opted for more wedding-appropriate attire… or so she thought.
The thirty-something fitness instructor from Minnesota never expected her wardrobe be the center of attention — specifically, teasing and ridicule — during what should have been a joyous occasion.
At one point during the party, Liz claimed a woman snuck up behind her and slapped her on the bottom as a dare while Liz stood all by herself. When she turned around, she saw a group of clearly intoxicated women giggling at her expense.
But it didn’t end there.
Watch the video below to find out what happened when the group of bullies started gathering around her, staring and whispering.
After the traumatic experience, Liz took to Instagram to share her story, along with a photo of the dress in question. She wanted to encourage women to support each other rather than bring each other down.
“I’m going to actively make it a priority to do good things for other women, every single day from here on out,” she wrote.
