In today’s edition of “What the Hell Is Going on in Alabama?” customers at a local Waffle House got an extra side of something no one in Waffle House history has ever asked for.

In a video shot by a customer, a man is seen falling from the ceiling and onto an unsuspecting table of people trying to enjoy their meal. The kicker? He wasn’t wearing any pants.

There are a lot of questions that arise from this incident. Where did the man come from? Where did he leave his pants? Why was he hanging out in the ceiling? How did he get up there in the first place?

Lucky for us, when the pantsless perpetrator tried to shimmy his way out through the crowd of Waffle House patrons, he left his pants in the bathroom — which he completely destroyed — along with his ID in one of the pockets, easily leading police to his identity.

The pantsless man has been identified as 27-year-old Wesley Glenn Bost, who reportedly tried to get into the restaurant’s office through the ceiling. Police say that after he entered the bathroom, he tied the door closed with his pants — because what is having a plan and possibly bringing some rope or something? — then proceeded to carry out his self-foiled mission.

Police Sgt. Wes Holland said after over a decade of being on the force, he’s never seen anything like the botched robbery: “I’ve been doing this almost 11 years, and it’s probably the weirdest thing I’ve seen.”
