The bond between dads and their daughters is so special and unique.

One Ohio man’s heart-to-heart with his little girl went massively viral in December 2017, when the girl’s mom happened to catch the moment.

Deceena Gaines shared the special exchange on Facebook, where it’s since been watched millions of times by people all over the world.

Right before the emotional pep talk, dad Randy Gaines had accidentally upset his daughter by calling her a nickname she didn’t like. But rather than dismissing the little girl’s emotions or writing it off as a kid’s tantrum, Randy sat the girl down to teach her that her feelings are valid and that there’s an appropriate way to handle them.

“You can be mad at me. You can be mad at Mommy or your sister. You can be mad at yourself,” Randy says in one part of the clip. “Just don’t hang onto it for too long, because that’s when it gets to be a problem.”

Deceena explained in her video caption that she’d just so happened to catch the moment and, without Randy’s knowledge, took a video when she realized how impactful his message was.

“I think I just watched and listened to one of the most powerful conversations in my life. This man right here. His ability to connect, and to speak from the heart. Open and honestly. I fell in love with him before we had our girls, but moments like this make me fall even more in love with him. We connect on this level, and my heart explodes when he connects to his girls like this,” the proud wife wrote.

“I am so blessed, and so thankful to have this man as my other half. Our girls are blessed to have him as their father. Thank you Randy Gaines for being you. P.S. I’m posting this without his permission, but I think this is an important video!” she continued.
