I remember growing up and loving video games. I used to think they combined the best things from books or movies into something I could control.
I can also remember my mom telling me it was time to turn the game off.
So I can sympathize with 7-year-old Nathan Anderson, of Eagle Mountain, Utah.
You see, young Nathan had a dilemma.
The boy wanted to play video games all day and all night. Unfortunately for him, that’s not how things work. And every night, he found himself having to go to bed and cut his adventuring short.
His mom would tell him to turn the game off, because he had school the next day.
The savvy boy decided that if school was the issue, he would take matters into his own hands.
His mom, Lori, was at home when she noticed a paper on the counter.
She looked it over and saw that it was handwritten. A few sentences in, she found herself baffled.
But that quickly turned into a fit of laughter after getting to the end of the note. It was so funny to her that she posted a picture of it on Imgur with the title: “Totally legit note I got from my 7-year-old’s school today.”
Within days it had millions of views.
