You may have heard the name before, but you probably haven’t yet had a feel for what exactly Shutterstock does.

In a new montage of some of its most incredible stock footage (“stock” may be a bit of a misnomer here), drones capture of some of the world’s most brilliant cities to give us a 2-minute tour of the grandeur of our planet.

“While most people experience flight from the confines of commercial airliners, cameras can take us to new heights, showing us views far superior to anything seen from a tiny plane window,” writes Shutterstock of the project. “With the help of helicopters, drones, and high-definition cameras, aerials showcase the world in an impossible way — from the sky.”

Stretching between some of the most remote corners of Earth’s wilderness and beyond to its largest cities, we get a literal bird’s eye view of everywhere from the bustle of London to the breathtaking vastness of deserts.
