Do you believe things happen for a reason? Some people believe in fate while others in chance or accident.
Truthfully, I am not sure. But what I do know is that sometimes things happen that can’t be logically explained and seem too right to be random.
Tallia Hart is the first female CEO of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce in its 167-year-old history. While that is a huge honor, Tallia says her proudest accomplishment is being a mom.
Tallia and her husband Mark wanted to adopt a baby from Vietnam. Their only request was that they wanted an infant girl.
After completing the application and adoption process, the couple was matched with a baby who had been abandoned in a basket outside an orphanage.
Remarkably, 43-years prior Tallia had also been left behind in basket near an orphanage and was adopted by American parents!
Lola, now 9-years-old, is a dedicated gymnast as was her mom at her age. Tallia says looking at Lola is like looking in a glass mirror. The similarities are uncanny.
This special mother and daughter were clearly meant to find each other. Tallia has come full circle in life – the world is large, but stories like this make it seem small and connected.
