A mother of four tragically lost her life, but actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry is doing all he can to help her family.
People reports that the 49-year-old offered assistance to the four kids of Tynesha Evans, two of whom are still minors. Police say that the 45-year-old mom was fatally shot by her boyfriend, suspect Othniel Inniss, on Saturday. The 58-year-old allegedly lured Tynesha to a Wells Fargo bank, promising her money for rent, before shooting her instead.
When the movie star heard the terrible news, he decided to reach out to the family personally, much to the shock of Tynesha’s grieving daughter, Audrey Turner.
“It was a call I wasn’t even going to answer. I said, ‘Well, let me answer it to see who it is.’ I answered and the person on the other end said, ‘This is Tyler.’ I said, ‘Who?’ He said, ‘This is Tyler.’ I said, ‘Tyler who?’ and he said, ‘Tyler Perry.’ At that point, I just broke down crying,” Audrey said, according to People.
Tyler reportedly paid the family’s rent so they wouldn’t have to worry about eviction, volunteered to pay for Tynesha’s Atlanta funeral, and even offered to arrange to fly her body back to Wisconsin (where she was originally from) for a second funeral. On top of that, the Madea actor also vowed to fund the college degree of Evans’ other daughter, Sharadiant, who is currently a freshman at Spelman College.
According to Page Six, Tynesha’s 14-year-old Shakemia called Tyler “an angel on Earth.”
