Sarah from SoCraftastic has brought us an amazing DIY using Twizzlers or licorice and putty! The odd combination makes for the perfect gift for your friends who love arts and crafts, or any of the kids in your life. Using molding putty, Twizzlers, and your favorite Crayola crayon colors, you can easily create these fun Twizzler crayons.
All you need is molding putty, Twizzlers, crayons, an X-Acto knife or scissors, and a heat-safe glass dish. First, place your Twizzler into the molding putty then let harden. Carefully remove the Twizzler from the molding. Next, place your crayons in the heat-safe glass. Place the glass into a pot of water and bring it to a boil. Carefully pour the crayon wax into the molding then refrigerate. When the wax has hardened, remove from the molding and you’re done.
You can make these in every color, and they’re totally functional. They’ll work exactly the same as before you melted them. If your little one brings these to class, they’ll definitely score major cool points on the playground. These crayons looks so good, you can eat them!
