Dear Moms: It’s Time To Stop Striving For Perfection

On the outside looking in, it feels like everybody else has their lives figured out, while we’re sitting here just struggling to get by. But the truth is, you never know what someone is going through behind closed doors, and you can’t judge a book by its cover.

In this episode of Truth Bomb Mom, Kristina Kuzmic debunks the myth that every mom has to be perfect and encourages fellow moms to stop comparing themselves to each other.

“Every single mom you have ever compared yourself to, every single mom you ever thought of as perfect, she has her own struggles,” says Kristina. “Nobody’s got this whole thing figured out.”

Instead of wasting our energy comparing ourselves and striving for a level of perfection that doesn’t exist, Kristina encourages us to “finally accept our flawed and imperfect life.” By refocusing our attention on our own lives instead of the lives we wish we had, we won’t be perfect moms, but we’ll be the best moms we can possibly be — and what more can anyone really ask for?

Don’t forget: “No matter how challenging and tiring life gets, you’re still here, taking care of your family. That’s what makes you a great mom.”
