Driving on the highway can be absolutely terrifying some days. If you’re on a road with many lanes, there is too much to worry about.
We’ve all been in that situation where we’re trying to get into the middle lane from the right, at the same time as the person on the left, and you have that blind panicked moment that you’re going to crash into each other.
What is even scarier is when the person in front of you slams on the brakes and completely stops. It can cause a major accident. Luckily for the motorcyclist in the video below, the truck behind them was able to stop.
Rather than blare his horn, the trucker realized that the woman on the motorcycle couldn’t move because her bike had died. She was in the middle of a busy highway in Chicago, in the middle of April, 2016.
Instead of passing her by, this trucker knew that this woman needed some assistance, and he was going to provide it.
If you’re driving past a truck, don’t you always try to give them a wide berth because they are so big and intimidating? Well, this trucker must have known this, as he used it to his advantage.
Moving slowly, he veered toward the right and he was able to block off the area, so the biker was able to guide her motorcycle over to the shoulder of the highway where it would be safe to wait for further help.
