9-Year-Old With Terminal Brain Disease Gets Surprised By Total Strangers With A Home Makeover

by Jess Butler
Jess is a curly-haired Jersey girl who adores penguins and watches the worst reality shows on TV.

When Tristan Law was just 9 years old, he was diagnosed with a terminal brain disease called metachromatic leukodystrophy.

Ever since that day, the sick now-10-year-old has been shuffling back and forth between his home in Fort Worth, Texas, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he receives his treatments.

One day, he was surprised with a home makeover that changed everything for him and his family.

In the video below, a group of volunteers from Sunshine Spaces comes together to give Tristan and his family a complete home makeover — along with a very warm welcome.

Tristan, his mom, his dad, and his twin brothers enter their home with surprised faces and squeals of joy. Once they see what their home makeover looks like, they’re instantly grateful.

According to KDFW, the special group of volunteers transformed everyone’s bedrooms into their own sanctuaries. Tristan’s room is now full of his favorite toys and lots of Batman designs.

The volunteers also created a new therapy room for Tristan, along with an accessible shower for his bathroom. They really went all out for this special home makeover — and the family’s expressions are priceless!

Check out the full home makeover in the video below, and please SHARE if you think Tristan deserves all this love and support from his community!
