Don’t mess with Tom Brady’s kids!

According to the Los Angeles Times, the New England Patriots quarterback gives weekly interviews with Boston-based radio station WEEI’s The Kirk & Callahan Show. On January 29, 2018, ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl, Tom cut his interview short just over two minutes in, due to comments made by another WEEI host.

Tom explained that he’d been informed WEEI host and WEEI.com writer Alex Reimer had made a rude comment about Tom’s young daughter.

In reaction to the first episode of Tom’s documentary series, Tom vs Time, Alex was recorded calling the quarterback’s little girl “an annoying little pissant.”

The host made the comment last week during an episode of WEEI’s Mut at Night with Mike Mutnansky. Alex was giving his thoughts on the first episode of the show and described the first scene as being “so staged” before making the rude comment about 5-year-old Vivian (whom Tom shares with his wife, retired supermodel Gisele Bündchen).

“I’ve tried to come on this show for many years and showed you guys a lot of respect,” Tom said. “I’ve always tried to come on and do a good job for you guys. It’s very disappointing when you hear that — certainly with my daughter or any child, you know, they certainly don’t deserve that.”

Co-host Kirk Minihane attempted to apologize, according to Us Weekly, but the quarterback wasn’t having it and cut off the interview with a curt farewell. “I’ll obviously evaluate whether I want to come on this show again, so I really don’t have much to say this morning,” the athlete said. “So, maybe I’ll speak with you guys some other time. Have a good day.”

According to WEEI.com, Alex was informed last Friday (prior to Tom’s interview but after he’d made the comment about Vivian) that he was indefinitely suspended, effective immediately.
