When Amanda Bowman Gray asked her daughter Lydia to watch her 25-month-old son, Bo, so she could take a shower, she was taken by surprise upon her return.
The mom of three stepped into the hallway once she was done and caught her kids singing “You Are My Sunshine” together.
Want to know the most incredible part? Little Bo has Down syndrome, but he was able to keep up and learn brand-new words from this sweet song!
In the video below, posted on January 16, 2018, Lydia and Bo sing their duet as Amanda records them.
Lydia strums her guitar and sings “You Are My Sunshine” with her little brother by her side. The toddler gets especially excited when the words “happy,” “gray,” “dear,” and “away” come up in the song. He can’t help but light up as he shows off the words he knows!
According to Amanda, Bo knows 12 words and “every word he has learned has been through music and singing.”
Lydia is surely making her mom proud by singing and teaching Bo his new words.
Isn’t this such an adorable brother-sister moment? I wonder what else they sing together!
