Claudia loved living in Boston, but there was a catch. Let’s just say that the condo she lived in wasn’t ideal.
In the video below, Claudia invites us into her home, which happens to be very, very small. Once she enters her tiny condo, her concerns become clear.
“Here we are! Welcome to all 319 square feet. Let me give you an idea of about how big that actually is.”
She then measures the space using her body, explaining:
“It takes two of me to go from wall to wall. It takes five paces to get from one side of the room to the other. And if you take a look around, I have exactly four pieces of furniture.”
Her living room, dining room, office, and bedroom are all located in the same cramped quarters — and all make use of the same futon bed. Claudia expresses her dissatisfaction with the clutter in her small space and shows how her appliances clang together when she opens them in the kitchen.
Luckily, Nate Berkus steps in to give her 319-square-foot condo a mini-mansion makeover!
Once Claudia returns to see the big reveal, she is absolutely stunned. She exclaims, “I cannot believe this is the same place!”
This video is from 2002, but Nate’s designs are timeless. What do you think of Claudia’s new, functional condo?
Check out what the newly transformed condo looks like after Nate lent his magic touch, and please SHARE if you’re glad the designer was able to give Claudia the perfect home!
