With nine months between conception and birth, many parents think of creative ways to kill time. From gender reveal parties to photo shoots, there are so many ways to get ready for your bundle of joy.
Another great way to showcase a baby bump is through time-lapse videos.
This couple used the popular video style in preparation for their first child, a baby boy named Bentley, who was born in February 2013! In their video, Mom kept eating ice cream while her belly continued to grow and grow until it was baby time.
Devon Spittle, the husband and videographer, paired the pregnancy stop-motion with the popular children’s song “Apples and Bananas” as his pregnant wife chowed down on the yummy ice cream.
At one point she lifts her shirt up to show her bump.
One of the reasons this time-lapse video works so well is because the mom is in the same outfit and sports the same hairstyle in each frame, so it looks like it’s all happening in one day.
The couple shows off their humor when it’s time for the baby to be “delivered.” Mom spreads out on the kitchen floor, then Dad comes in and drags his pregnant wife through the house until she’s in front of the couch. “Nobody was hurt in the making of this video,” he writes in the caption.
Once the pregnant mom is on the couch with a blanket over her, Bentley appears! Watch the full clip below.
