Amazing 3D Lipstick Trick Makes Lips Appear Fuller And Rounder

I’m not proud of it, but I can easily go a few days without remembering to put on a drop of makeup.

To be honest, my interest in makeup comes in fits and starts.

Some days, I’m just way too lazy to bother and I fall back on these makeup-free beauty tips. Other days, I’m totally into it, and layer on the gloss and blush.

On this rollercoaster of makeup obsession and ambivalence, there’s just one constant: if there’s a new trend to be had in the beauty world, I have to try it.

That’s why it’s not entirely unusual to find me totally barefaced, except for some supremely crazy eyeliner or a super-strong lip; it’s all part of trying to adapt my lazy-girl lifestyle to the latest trends.

And at the moment, one trend in particular has caught my eye. It’s called the 3D Lip, and it’s an optical illusion to give your lipstick more depth, literally.

The look is achieved by highlighting your lips to make them appear rounder and fuller. You start by priming your lips with concealer, then use a touch of blended liner to give them more definition.

Next, layer on a fairly pale matte lipstick, and top it off with a sweep of eyeshadow that’s in the same color family, but a bit lighter. Voilà, the perfect 3D pout!
