The Children’s Hospital & Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, just welcomed its second therapy dog! Before bringing the new pup to the hospital, staff teased her arrival on Facebook.

The hospital posted a photo of its current therapy dog, Sven, wearing a “big brother” T-shirt and sitting next to a sign announcing the new dog’s upcoming arrival. The photo’s caption read: “Someone’s going to be a BIG BROTHER! That’s right—Children’s will welcome a second facility dog in mid-November! The new dog will follow in Sven’s paw prints, having completed a year & a half of training through Canine Assistants. This November, be on the lookout for updates & clues—as we gear up to reveal our newest, four-legged team member.”

Sven then got to take part in an epic gender reveal! He bit into a dog-friendly cake to show whether his new canine companion would be a girl or a boy. After he scarfed down some of the cake, people were able to see the pink interior — the new therapy dog would be a girl!

On November 9, a few weeks after the gender reveal, the hospital posted the first photos of its new therapy dog. The caption said, “Meet Sansa, Children’s newest facility dog! She’s a cream-colored goldendoodle specially trained to serve our pediatric patients & families. Sansa will work alongside Debbie, a certified Child Life Specialist, facilitating clinical interventions, coping & comfort. We’re so excited for her to join our team on Monday!”
