Seventeen-year-old Thomas Schoettle broke his neck in a swimming pool accident on June 27, 2017, and was left paralyzed.

The teen is a huge fan of country singer Zac Brown from The Zac Brown Band and was bummed he wouldn’t be able to make it to their concert.

A family friend named Anthony took a longshot and wrote a note to the singer on his Facebook page telling him how big of a fan the teen is.  “Would there be any chance you could visit him, if only for a couple minutes,” Anthony writes. Miraculously, the country singer was able to coordinate with Thomas’ family and surprise the teen at the hospital.

As you’ll see in the footage below, a man directs Thomas’ attention to the door by saying, “Look who it is.”

“Oh my God!” Thomas says when he realizes the stranger walking through the door is his favorite country singer.

In another video posted by Thomas’ mom, Zac proves how great of a guy he is. “We’ll do that tonight,” Zac promises Thomas about giving him a shout out — he even tells Thomas they’ll play his favorite song. Showing he still has his humor, Thomas says he would go to the concert if they can wheel his bed out.

It’s amazing to see how celebrities will go out of their way to meet their biggest fans and how much singers, like Zac Brown, care about their supporters.
