Young Teacher Promised Students He’d Get Tattoo For Them, Then Lifts Up Shirt For The Camera

High school teacher Joshua Murray loves his job. He says that his students at Agua Fria High School motivate him every day. He wakes up excited to see them and to have the opportunity to give them the tools to succeed.

Because their young minds inspire him, he’s choosing to return the favor and to give them every reason to want to succeed. Over the past year and a half, he’s helped his class prepare, apply, and get into colleges.

This is a huge achievement for them and him, as many of them will be the first ones in their families to be able to go to college.

But Mr. Murray didn’t stop there: he pushed them to each get at least $5,000 in scholarships and made them a bold promise: if they succeeded, he would get their names tattooed on his body.

And sure enough, his students came through. They knew that he would keep his end of the deal — so far, he has not failed them and has made an incredible and positive impact on their lives. Now, the teacher has 28 names tattooed on his body. Those are the names of people who will be with him forever!

But the promise doesn’t stop there. He took it a step further: if one of his students, Gustavo, gets a total of $20,000 in scholarships, Mr. Murray will swim with dolphins — something he’s terrified to do!
