This Mom Warns Us Against Taking Friendship Cues From Reality TV

You may not be in middle school anymore, but that doesn’t mean that navigating the sometimes treacherous waters of female friendship is any easier. Years go by, but some things never change.

With that said, Kristina Kuzmic is here to remind us of how important it is to have each other’s backs and appreciate our female friends instead of knock them down.

“If aliens came down to earth and judged female friendships according to reality TV, they would think that humans are the pettiest, most horrible, childish creatures,” Kristina points out. “And we can be.”

Obviously the occasional temper tantrum on Bravo can make for good TV, but Kristina is right when she says “it does not make for a good human.”

The truth is that some women aren’t nice to other women because they’re so busy, according to Kristina.

“You know why you sometimes don’t feel good enough?” she asks. “Because you’re comparing and competing.”

So do yourself and women everywhere a favor and stop treating interactions with other women like a zero-sum game. We’re all in the same boat and female friendship should be a blessing instead of a curse.

Watch Kristina sum up why we all need to be nice to each other in a very real way in the video below.
