Mom Reminds Herself To Enjoy The Ride Amidst The Chaos Of Raising 3 Kids

Though being a mom is one of the most rewarding things life has to offer, it is also one of the most difficult both mentally and physically. After all, you have to carry a baby around inside you for nine months and then raise that baby until he or she is a competent, full-fledged adult.

Although moms love their children more than anything, even they get overwhelmed and fed up with the screaming, pre-sunrise wake-up calls, and teenage tantrums. Sometimes, even loving parents need a reminder that the long days are worth it just to watch their kids grow and thrive.

In this episode of Truth Bomb Mom, Kristina Kuzmic finds herself hiding in her closet with a bowl of cookie dough after a particularly stressful night. After getting almost no sleep, thanks to her kids and a hefty dose of “mom-xiety”, Kristina was awoken “before the sun even came up” by her toddler causing chaos.

“I am tired, which isn’t even, like, news anymore,” Kristina says as she spoons cookie dough into her mouth. “It’s just part of my identity: female, caucasian, organ donor, exhausted.”

On particularly tiring days, Kristina may get worn out, but she also reminds herself of the little time she has before her kids go off on their own — to become tired out by children of their own.

“Eventually, my kids will move out… and I will look back, and the stories I will tell, over and over again, at every family gathering, will be the ones with the most exhausting and frustrating days,” says Kristina. “Every bit of exhaustion… it is all worth it just to be able to have front-row seats to watching my kids grow up.”
