Victoria Price is an investigative reporter for WFLA News Channel 8 in Tampa. Ever since Florida became an epicenter for the coronavirus, she’s been busier than ever at work.

Even she admitted her own health was the last thing on her mind as she delved into COVID-19 and its impact on current events.

Victoria says she has received a countless number of emails from trolls over the years. Unfortunately, she has gotten used to messages that criticize her physical appearance.

Recently, the 28-year-old reporter received an email about her appearance. This viewer took the time and went out of her way to write Victoria a message — but this email was much, much different and far from anything superficial or mean-spirited.

“Hi, just saw your news report,” the viewer wrote. “What concerned me is the lump on your neck. Please have your thyroid checked. Reminds me of my neck. Mine turned out to be cancer. Take care of yourself.”

Victoria now says that had she not received that email, she would never have called her doctor.

Watch the video below to see why she’s thanking her lucky stars that she did.
