WarnerMedia recently announced its investigation of The Ellen DeGeneres Show after employees of the hit talk show came forward with stories of alleged issues in the workplace, including racism and sexual misconduct.
Neil Breen is a current host on radio station 4BC in Australia. Back in 2013, he was a producer on Australia’s Today morning show.
Neil was working at Today when Ellen made a guest appearance. At first, he says Ellen was supposed to be a cohost, but the appearance was “watered down” to just a sit-down interview.
This change in her appearance meant the entire crew had to move to a different location over 400 miles away.
After that, Neil said things only grew more bizarre — as Ellen’s staff began making a slew of “bizarre” demands, from stage lighting to how to (and how not to) communicate with the superstar comic.
Watch the video below to see what Neil has to say about his experience working with Ellen and her team.
