There’s no decorative accent that I love more than a good old-fashioned throw pillow!
It’s by far the easiest way to tie a room together, not to mention a quick and speedy way to give your decor a little extra zing.
I’ve always subscribed to the theory that two good throw pillows are worth a dozen doodads and tchotchkes.
After all, even babies like these cutie-pies know the value of a well-chosen pillow to liven up the space! Of course, most of us grown-ups do prefer that our pillows look a little bit less like Cookie Monster.
In fact, one of the most frequent issues I have with my throw pillows is that I always want a new look, but I don’t want to shell out money for new ones.
Fortunately, it’s easy as pie to create dozens of DIY pillowcases to give your room a fresh look, without having to replace the pillows you already have.
My current favorite is one I’ve been using a lot this winter, as I continually discover more and more sweaters that are baggy at the elbows, or were unfortunate victims of attic moths.
Give those old sweaters a new lease on life with this easy tutorial for converting them into pillow covers!
