Back in 2011, a young man named Matt Still staged an incredible movie theater proposal that still leaves us awestruck!

His plan was simple, direct, and traditional, but it came with one big twist: He was going to propose to his lovely girlfriend Ginny while she was in the middle of a crowded cinema.

Like the complicated proposal where a would-be-groom popped the question every day for a year, Matt’s plan required perfect planning and execution to get right.

First, he got Ginny’s family in on the plan. He told Ginny he had to work on a Saturday, and had her brother invite her to the movies while he was “at work.”

Ginny showed up to watch the latest installment in the Fast & Furious franchise, and her brother surreptitiously set up a camera to film her face.

The first trailer was run-of-the-mill, an advertisement for The Hangover: Part II. That means that Ginny didn’t suspect a thing — until the second trailer came up on screen, and she heard her boyfriend’s voice reverberating through the theater, as he asked her father for her hand in marriage.

Thank goodness her quick-thinking brother got it all on tape!
