In America, nearly 600,000 people are homeless or without a place to sleep every night.

That is a staggering number that is hard to wrap one’s head around.

If you live in an area with a high population of homeless people, you understand this a bit more, but it is still something we all don’t know how to react to.

Many wonderful people make a great deal of effort to help out how they can. Brennon Jones chose a different method than most.

After an encounter with a homeless man, in which he gave him $1 and a piece of fruit, he realized he could be doing much more.

Now, he offers those living on the streets of Philadelphia haircuts!

He calls it Haircuts for the Homeless, which is a simple and perfect name.

“I said maybe I could use my talent in hair cutting to provide a service that could potentially brighten someone’s day,” Brennon told FOX 29.

He wanted a way to give back and help out those who truly need it. His plan is to continue for the rest of the year, but he hopes to go for much longer! With this attention for such a great cause, I hope he can do this for a very long time!
