When a person can’t make the monthly payments on their storage locker, the storage company is entitled to keep the contents, then auction the lockers off to the highest bidder.

The only issue is that bidders hardly even get a glance at what’s in the locker before they bid on them. Sometimes, a locker find can be a hidden fortune; other times, it can be a total dud and waste of money. In the season five finale of Storage Wars, Darrell got his biggest find yet.

He only got a glimpse of the locker full of old G.I. Joe action figures and comic books, then had to make a split second decision. He wasn’t the only one who wanted the locker, as the bidding began to surpass the $10,000 mark.

Eventually, Darrell would pay $15,750 for the locker. That means the contents would have to be worth more than that if he wanted to score a profit. Then, something amazing happened.

As he ransacked the locker, toy after toy, it revealed itself to be valuable. Darrell priced his find at $60,000 worth of toys and memorabilia! Not too shabby for a few childhood memories. Do you wonder if any of your old toys are worth much? Let us know in the comments!
