One of the most amazing things about going in the ocean is that you never really know what you are going to find.

This is particularly true for the ocean floor where some sea creatures have yet to even be discovered.

In the case of this video that one diver posted online, this strange fish definitely has been documented before, but this fish is not one that the average person gets to see.

This diver refers to the fish as a stingfish — an informal name used to refer to a variety of bottom-dwellers, which came as quite the surprise to him. Thank goodness his camera was rolling.

The fish appears to actually be walking on the ocean floor. This bizarre sight was captured on film in Bali, and definitely has lovers of sea life excited.

The diver who posted the video wrote, “During a night dive I found this strange fish; looks like it’s walking on the sand. Amazing!”

Watch the video below to take a look at this totally fascinating stingfish in action. He almost appears to have two little crab-like legs propelling his body around the ocean!

Have you ever seen one of these guys up close, either in the ocean or in an aquarium?
