Things weren’t going too well for the Golden Flashes — the college football team of Kent State University in Ohio — in a game against the Louisville Cardinals. But when things looked really bad, the squirrel came in.
With a little over four minutes left in the first half of the game, fans in attendance received a big surprise in the form of a wayward squirrel who had found himself on the field.
No one knows how the squirrel arrived or where he came from, but one thing is for sure: that squirrel definitely left a lasting impression!
The crowd at the game — or at least the Kent State fans — had grown a little bored because the match had turned into a blowout.
By that point in the second quarter, Louisville was up 21-0 against the Golden Flashes, and it looked like things were just going to get worse.
Then the squirrel ran onto the field with his sights set on the end zone!
The crowd was so entertained by the squirrel that they cheered him all the way.
Even the TV announcers got in on the fun, giving a play-by-play of the squirrel’s run toward the end zone as if he was a player in the game!
