In 2017, Christie Brinkley posed in a bikini for Sports Illustrated at the age of 63 alongside her two daughters, Alexa Ray Joel, 31, and Sailor Brinkley Cook, 18.

Though she wouldn’t be taking Christie’s spot as the oldest model to don a swimsuit in the iconic publication, Jodi Harrison-Bauer is gunning to become the oldest Sports Illustrated model chosen from an open-casting call.

Jodi is 58 years old. She owns and runs a fitness gym in Connecticut and has two adult daughters.

When she saw an open casting call for Sports Illustrated and noticed there were no specific age categories, she knew this was her chance to fulfill her lifelong dream.

Jodi is a two-time Fitness America and Fitness Universe champion. With her 60s around the corner, she continues to regularly exercise and practice a healthy and balanced lifestyle. It’s no wonder she says she feels as confident and sexy as ever.

“Whether I’m chosen or not,” Jodi told the New Haven Register, “I’m doing this as another way to share who I am and encourage others along the way that it’s not too late to try something new.”

She traveled from her home in Connecticut to Miami, where she’ll line up at the casting call at 5 a.m. in hopes of outshining dozens of other models, many of whom will be decades younger than herself.
