There’s no sweeter feeling as a kid than waking up to find out school has been canceled for a snow day.
Seeing even a hint of flurries the night before sends youngsters into dreams of snow angels and snowmen.
I remember one year in elementary school, my neighborhood friends and I decided to get more creative with our snowflake formations. We ended up with a giant, unidentifiable creature that sort of resembled a caterpillar with Kermit the Frog’s head. Sadly, no one thought to take a photo of it, but I doubt I’ll ever forget the strange form.
The folks below, however, have a bit more talent when it comes to sculpting blankets of white snow into seriously mind-blowing works of art.
A group of brothers from Minnesota, where there’s never a shortage of snowy supplies, have even become famous for their annual efforts.
Take a look to see their amazing shark and turtle sculptures, as well as other unbelievable examples, and let us know in the comments if you’ve ever made something even more impressive.
