The taste of s’mores takes me back to summer camp nights — to crackling fires, bone-chilling ghost stories, and charred marshmallows skewered on sticks.
Back when I was a camp kid, my friends and I used to have competitions to see who could stack the best s’more. As I came to learn, anyone could pile chocolate squares onto graham crackers; the true artistry came in the roasting of the marshmallow.
Do you know how to roast a ‘mallow until it takes on a delicate, golden-brown tint?
Even though my summer camp days are long behind me, I have continued with my efforts to perfect my s’more-making skills. I have experimented extensively with the classic recipe; sometimes, I toast my marshmallows at home in the microwave, and other times I load the sweet treats with special ingredients, like Reese’s cups. Truthfully, there is no wrong way to enjoy this popular snack!
Although I have tested many s’mores recipes in my day, there is still one I have yet to try. If you too are a s’mores fanatic, then you are going to love this easy-to-follow recipe for s’mores pizza!
Not only is this dessert just as yummy as the campfire treat you have come to know and love, but it is significantly less messy and made to share. Are you sold yet? Check out the ingredient list and baking directions below, then scroll down for an instructional video.
