Finding out someone broke into your home is absolutely terrifying — but imagine how scary it would be to learn that someone spent hours just outside your home, all while you slept on the other side of the wall?
That’s what happened to a couple in Seattle, who is now trying to identify the “creepy” burglar they caught on camera.
According to KCPQ Seattle, the burglar snuck onto Gary Laws’ property around midnight on December 30, 2017. He never broke into the house — instead, he spent hours “creeping” and “lurking” around their yard, the station reports.
The creepy burglar looked into all the cabinets around the house, as well as the patio table and chairs. KCPQ reports that he stole clothing and a dog bed, among other things.
He even opened up the couple’s hot tub and tried to climb inside. Security cameras caught all of his antics.
The thief hung around on Gary’s property until 7 a.m. At one point, he disappeared and then reappeared (Gary thinks he was hiding in the shed). The prowler eventually left in the morning.
Even though they had some stuff stolen, Gary says he’s not all too worried about the items. He told KCPQ, “It’s not about the personal items and that, it’s just that this is not acceptable behavior for anybody. I don’t care what their circumstances are. There’s ways to do things and this is definitely not the way to do it.” Now, Gary’s getting motion-activated lights on his property to prevent something like this from happening again.
Have you ever heard of any burglar acting like this?
