The millions of great men and women who sacrifice their lives for our country can never truly be repaid.

They leave their families, friends, and entire lives behind. They put their safety on the line, and they do it all for us and our country.

Unfortunately, some of these heroes don’t make it back. And many others are left scarred for life from their experiences.

Whether it’s post-traumatic stress disorder or a physical injury of some sort, the effect that war can leave on a person is immeasurable.

And Luciano Yulfo knows that firsthand after being injured in Afghanistan.

He was in the ranks for 36 years, and he’s now a retired Army veteran.

But he still suffers the consequences of his service and his injury. So he’s been on a waiting list for a service dog.

In the incredible video below, he finally gets the service dog he’s been waiting for.

When he first sees the beautiful golden dog running out toward him, he grabs the man next to him and his jaw drops open.

He looks as if this is one of the best moments of his life. Once the dog is close enough to touch, his cane is tossed aside as he drops to his knees to greet his new life partner.

These dogs change lives for our heroes who come home.
