Serena Williams introduced her daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., to the world in September of 2017.

The new mom has since shared countless photos of her daughter and has been open about the ups and downs of motherhood. She’s talked about the aches, pains, and total exhaustion she’s faced that many moms can relate to.

Her baby girl was born September 1, 2017. She was the first child for both the 35-year-old tennis champ and her fiancé, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.

On December 6, 2017, Serena used Twitter to post another adorable photo with her daughter. But she also had an important breastfeeding question to ask other moms who were following her. She even opened up about feeling emotional at the thought of not breastfeeding anymore.

While many celebrity moms have constantly been shamed for talking about how they parent, no one wrote nasty comments to the new mom. Instead, moms from all over the world replied with uplifting messages for Serena.

Tennis player Serena Williams welcomed a little girl on September 1, 2017.

Since the birth of Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., Serena has shared many adorable photos of her baby girl.

Three months after giving birth, Serena took to her Twitter profile to talk about breastfeeding.

Serena opened up in her tweet about getting emotional just thinking about not breastfeeding anymore.

She wrote:

Fellow moms: How long did you breastfeed? Is it weird that I get emotional when I even just think about when it’s time to stop?

While there is no right or wrong answer for how long a mom should breastfeed, Serena asked her followers how long they did it for.

She received over 1,000 replies from moms all over the world.

Broadway actress and singer Audra McDonald told the athlete, “you’ll know when it’s time to stop” — which seemed to be the overall response from moms!

Another mom said that, despite getting harassed, she made the decision to nurse until her daughter was 4 and a half years old.

Refreshingly, no one criticized or shamed Serena for her candidness.

Many complimented the mom on her gorgeous daughter and told her to trust her instincts.

The doting mom has always been open with her fans and even created an Instagram account just for photos of her daughter.

She and Alexis Ohanian wed in November. They started dating in 2015.

Serena’s pregnancy was announced by accident in April 2017, when she shared a photo with the caption “20 weeks” that was meant for a private chat.

Serena has yet to reply to any of the moms who gave her breastfeeding advice but is probably grateful for all of the amazing responses.
