Less than two weeks after giving birth, Serena Williams is introducing her new daughter to the world.

The baby girl, born September 1, 2017, was the first child for both the 35-year-old tennis champ and her fiancé, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.

While some celebrity moms like Sarah Michelle Gellar and Mila Kunis shy away from sharing images of their kids’ faces on social media, Serena has no such qualms. Clearly, she’s in the group of celebs who are eager to share their adorable kids with the world as soon as possible!

On September 13, 2017, Serena used Instagram to post the very first intimate photo and video footage of her little girl. She also revealed the baby’s full name and nickname — and they’re definitely unique!

Serena Williams announced her engagement to Alexis Ohanian on December 29, 2016.

According to CNN, Alexis popped the question while the two were vacationing in Rome.

The pair had been quietly dating since the fall of 2015, and had kept their relationship very private during that time.

But once their engagement news was announced, they were both more than happy to share their love with the world via social media!

In April 2017, Serena accidentally revealed her pregnancy on Snapchat when she shared a photo focused on her belly with the caption “20 weeks,” in what was likely meant to be a private photo.

Later that night, Serena’s spokesperson confirmed that she was indeed expecting a baby with her husband-to-be.

After confirming the news, Serena shared plenty of photos of her growing bump on Instagram.

What’s even more incredible is the fact that being 20 weeks pregnant in April 2017 meant that Serena was around eight weeks pregnant when she won the Australian Open in January 2017!

That win was the tennis champion’s 23rd Grand Slam — a record made even more impressive by her pregnancy.

Serena finally gave birth to her baby on September 1, 2017. It was reported earlier in the day that she had gone into labor after being induced the previous day in a West Palm Beach, Florida, hospital.

On September 13, 2017, Serena shared the very first photos of her daughter on Instagram, along with some details about the birth.

The sweet photo shows Serena’s daughter snuggled up close to her mom.

In her Instagram story shared the same day, Serena announced her daughter’s full name: Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.

The baby is named after her dad, Alexis, which is unique, as “Juniors” are traditionally sons named after their fathers!

Serena also listed her daughter’s birth weight of 6lb., 14 oz. — and the baby’s “Grand Slam Titles” count as “1.”

Serena and her fiancé even set up an Instagram account for their little girl. They have already begun tagging her in their photos.

Her Instagram name is Olympia Ohanian, which suggests that she is going to go by her middle name, instead of going by the same name as her dad, or even the shortened form “AJ.”

Congratulations to Serena and Alexis on their beautiful bundle of joy — and welcome to the world, baby Alexis Olympia Jr.!
