Woman Adopts Senior Dog Only To Discover It’s The Same Dog Her Family Gave Up As A Child

When she's not blogging for the 'net, June loves cuddling with her cats and reading in her library at home.

Nicole Grimes grew up begging her family for a dog. When she was 10 years old, her grandmother surprised her with Chloe, an adorable Pomeranian-Poodle mix puppy.

Nicole and Chloe became the best of friends, but four years after bringing the puppy into their home, her dad got a new job that required him to work from home. Chloe had so much energy and was constantly barking, and Nicole’s dad realized he couldn’t get his work done anymore.

Sadly, the family decided to put Chloe up for adoption. They hoped and prayed she would find a loving home.

Eight years passed by. One day, Nicole was scrolling Facebook when she noticed a photo of a senior dog who needed a new family.

She instantly felt a connection to the sweet-looking grey-haired pup.

Within days, Nicole and her family began to notice strange similarities between her new shelter dog and Chloe, her very first best friend from when she was little. Similar personality traits, similar movements… similar everything.

Curious (and a little freaked out) Nicole took her dog back to the shelter to scan her microchip.

Nothing prepared the Grimes family for the unbelievable results, which they took as a sign from Nicole’s late grandmother — the same person who brought Chloe into her life so many years ago…
