Congratulations are in order for Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici! The couple is expecting their third child together.

The couple first met and fell in love during Sean’s season of The Bachelor, the 17th installment of the long-running show. He gave Catherine his final rose in the last episode of that season. The two married in a televised ceremony in January 2014.

“Obviously, it’s going to be overwhelming and exhausting but they get to be best friends forever,” Catherine told People. “We get to have these children who are going to be so close in age and get to grow up and have all these memories,” she added.

“Yeah, it’ll be hard for us but it’s just a chapter. It’s so fleeting.”

The new baby will join older brothers Samuel and Isaiah.

Sean and Catherine first met in 2012. Catherine, a graphic designer from Seattle, Washington, was one of the 26 women vying for Sean’s heart on his season of The Bachelor.

Sean had previously appeared on Emily Maynard’s season of The Bachelorette. He finished in third place overall and was later chosen to star in the following season of The Bachelor because he was a fan favorite.

In the end, Sean gave Catherine his final rose and proposed to her in the season finale.

One year after their proposal, the two were married. The ceremony took place on January 26, 2014, officiated by Sean’s dad, and was televised live.

In the years since, Sean and Catherine (one of the relatively few Bachelor success stories) have cemented their status as a fan-favorite couple among Bachelor Nation viewers. Fans have loved watching their family grow.

The couple has always been vocal about their desire to have a large family. They welcomed their first child, son Samuel, on July 2, 2016.

The pair knew that they didn’t want to wait too long to have their next child. In September 2017, Sean told People that the possibility of adding Baby No. 2 was “not off in the distance because Catherine wants a big family — she’s convinced she wants several more kids.”

“I would say that hopefully in 2018 we have another one,” he said.

Sure enough, Sean and Catherine announced another pregnancy in November of that year. The two welcomed their second son, Isaiah, on May 18, 2018.

Now the Lowe family is growing yet again! On June 19, 2019, the couple announced that they’re expecting their third child together.

The new baby’s gender hasn’t yet been revealed. According to the happy soon-to-be parents of three, the new pregnancy was unplanned.

“It was a complete surprise and I stared at the wall for a good 24 hours,” the 33-year-old mom told People, noting that she was “so emotional” upon finding out she was pregnant again. “I was like, ‘I just had one of these!'”

Catherine revealed that she found out she was expecting when she “wasn’t feeling well” and took a pregnancy test.

“Every time we get pregnant, [Sean] tells me,” she explained. “I leave the stick in the bathroom and he comes out with the stick. So every time that we’ve found out, he’s the one who is telling me. … He had Isaiah in his arms and I was like, ‘Surely this is not going to happen.’ I did not think it was going to be true.”

Despite the fact that they were “stunned” by the pregnancy, the couple told People that they’re excited.

“Obviously, it’s going to be overwhelming and exhausting but they get to be best friends forever,” the expectant mom said. “We get to have these children who are going to be so close in age and get to grow up and have all these memories. Yeah, it’ll be hard for us but it’s just a chapter. It’s so fleeting.”

And though Isaiah is too young to really understand what’s going on, Samuel is clearly super excited to be a big brother again!

“He’s very excited and kissing the baby good night and praying for the baby,” Catherine shared. “He knows what’s happening. He wants to see the baby — he’s trying to look down my shirt to see the baby!”

So sweet! Congrats to the Lowe family!
