This Head-Scratching Bus Puzzle Is Almost Impossible For Adults To Solve

I think most of us grown-ups know that, even though we might have more real-world knowledge than our kids, sometimes they’re just too darn smart!

For example, a test has been circulating recently on the internet, showing a perfectly symmetrical school bus, and two arrows showing which direction it might be going in. The point of the quiz is to see if you can correctly guess which way it’s going.

For adults, it’s proving to be a real head-scratcher. I’m not embarrassed to admit that I was stumped for a good long while!

Like this logic puzzle that children in Hong Kong had no trouble with, this seems to be a question kids have zero trouble answering, even though their parents and teachers might find it tricky.

According to the Daily Mail, 80% of kids can answer immediately figure out the correct answer, based on a quick glance at the picture.

It’s completely symmetrical, with nothing to indicate which side the steering wheel and driver would go on.

It seems like it could be moving in either direction, but there’s only one right answer!

The bus is going to the left!

Kids were able to figure out the answer, because they looked at the bus and saw that they couldn’t see the bus’ door.

Because cars drive on the left in America, they knew that had to mean the car was moving to the left!

This quiz is easy for kids because they tend to make snap judgments based on their first visual clue.

Adults make more informed decisions, more slowly, so they’re slower to solve riddles.
